PROTARAS

Protaras is the neighbouring resort to Agia Napa but one with a very different atmosphere. It is a much smaller town with a charming laid back ambience, plus some fantastic beaches, one of the best known is Fig Tree Bay (because it is surrounded by fig trees). Here you will find a long stretch of golden sand and the clearest water you will find anywhere in the Mediterranean. It’s a mini paradise! By day Protaras has a slow and lazy pace, but by night the bars, tavernas and restaurants all spring to life. Protaras also has a monastery called Agios Elias. It is situated at the top of a rock face which is dotted with caves.
