Lemesos
(Limassol),
the second largest town in Cyprus is built between two
ancient cities, Curium
in the west and Amathus in the east. Contemporary
Lemesos (Limassol) stretches along the island’s
south coast and is the island’s most important
tourist and wine industry centre. In early September
wine enthusiasts can enjoy the famous wine festival
which is held in the municipal park. Here you can sample
an amazing range of wines
for free and some for as little as 50cents a drink!
You can also enjoy the fantastic range of food on offer
and you can watch some traditional
folk dancing while you let your meal digest!
